Overview
Access to adequate water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is not just a basic necessity but a fundamental human right, enshrined in Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6). Despite this recognition, millions globally still lack access to safely managed drinking water and sanitation. In Kenya, these challenges persist, with only a fraction of the population having access to adequate water and sanitation services.
Against this backdrop, the Kenya Sanitation Governance Conference and Exhibition 2024 aims to address these pressing issues. Organized by the Water and Sanitation Providers Association (WASPA) and the Ministry of Water, Sanitation & Irrigation, in collaboration with the County Government of Kisumu and Kisumu Water & Sanitation Company (KIWASCO), the conference seeks to catalyze change by fostering insightful discussions, forging strategic partnerships, and exploring innovative solutions to accelerate access to safely managed sanitation
